A book or a movie. In this case it does not matter.
A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor … a fearsome Bengal tiger. ~ IMDB Description
For me the movie is well done but not overdone. But what I need to say: I would watch it in 2D.
This movie reflects a lot of life and even though the story is fiction I guess it is a good motivator and source of inspiration. One quote that especially inspired me is this:
Adult Pi Patel: So which story do you prefer?
Writer: The one with the tiger. That’s the better story.
Adult Pi Patel: Thank you. And so it goes with God.
Writer: [smiles] It’s an amazing story.
For me this quote translates to more than just ‘God’. It is about what we do in life and what we appreciate. If paintings, photographs, movies or design. All lies in the eye of the viewer and so I say: if you get critique: hear it, listen to it, and than decide to either implement the ideas or - sometimes - forget it and go on with what you do.
Have you seen the movie or will you watch it? What do you think about the movie? Feel free to leave a comment.
