Just recently I published a post about the upcoming project by Joey L. which he announced to be an Kickstarter funded movie. But this is not his first movie project and I would like to tell you about one of the most inspiring documentaries I have seen in the past years. It is called “Faces Of a Vanishing World”.
Join photographer Joey Lawrence and his crew first hand on an epic journey.
And I guess epic is the right word. The theme of the whole documentary is that Joey photographed some tribes in the Omo Valley in Ethiopia. He then published the photographs on his website and had a art-gallery show. But unlike most of the other photographers, he did not want to keep the photos stored somewhere but he wanted to give them back to the people in the photos.
Even though there have been many obstacles in the way to get the pictures back to the rightful owners, Joey and his Team did a great job.
In the end it all boils down to one thing: watch it and get inspired by this great photographers work.
You can buy the movie at Joey L.'s online shop: Faces Of a Vanishing World.
